Picked up a box of these "seconds" for a small backsplash project, and honestly the slight variations in the glaze are what make each 13x13 tile feel unique. They fit together nicely with a 2mm grout line and have a lovely handmade look without being too precious about perfect edges.

Glazed just enough to catch the light differently on each tile—these little 13cm squares give our backsplash exactly the quirky character I was hoping for. The slight imperfections make them feel handmade rather than mass-produced.

The tiny variations in the glaze on these seconds give the whole wall a lovely, handmade feel that you just don't get with perfect tiles. I paired four of them with solid ones for a subtle accent, and the character they add is worth the minor flaw. Exactly the kind of charm I was hoping for.
