The hummingbird has been hand painted, wings spread, to capture the colourful bird in flight. Its feathers are painted in rich shades of turquoise and teal with flashes of real gold paint catching in the light. This much loved little bird sits happily in the Glasshouse collection, at home in the tropical plants.

The gold paint on the feathers catches the morning light beautifully, making the turquoise shades almost glow. It’s slightly smaller than I expected from the photo, but the hand-painted detail is stunning.

I hung this tile near my kitchen window, and the way the turquoise feathers pop against the white wall makes me smile every time I walk by. The real gold paint on the wing tips adds a subtle shimmer that feels special without being too flashy.

The gold paint catches the light in a way that makes the wings look almost alive, and the turquoise shading is even richer in person than in the photos. I hung it in my hallway and guests keep stopping to ask where I found it.
