River Bird Egret Delft (left)

$18.7 ~~$27.5~~ In stock

Herons amongst the bullrushes, egrets landing on the shoreline and woodpeckers softly drilling into nearby trees, this collection brings the outdoors in.

Traditionally painted in delft blue colour, this collection has also been reworked in a soft charcoal by our talented team of in-house artists using simple brushstrokes and mark making techniques.

Revisited from our archives, this elegant collection was inspired by the natural beauty of the wild birds we encounter on riverbanks and marshlands within the UK, highlighting the importance of appreciating these modestly magnificent creatures.

Design shown on an English White base.

I was a little worried the herons might look cartoonish, but the hand-painted feel of the delft blue is so delicate and lifelike. The egrets landing on the shoreline really do bring a calm, marsh-side vibe into my kitchen backsplash.

The blue and white detailing on these tiles is even more vibrant in person, and the herons among the bullrushes look so crisp against my kitchen backsplash. I've gotten several compliments already.

The egrets landing on the shoreline are so detailed that I find myself noticing a new feather each time I walk by. The blue is a true delft shade and feels like having a piece of a nature preserve on my wall.
