Engels Delft Gierzwaluw

The blue and white glaze on my tile perfectly captures that classic Dutch scene, and the bird’s wing detail is surprisingly crisp. It adds a lovely focal point to an otherwise plain wall, and I’m glad I chose this design.

We installed a few of the hand-painted bird tiles as accents in our kitchen backsplash, and the way the blue contrasts with the white is even more delicate in person. The detail on each little building and bird is so fine it honestly feels like a tiny piece of art on the wall.

I love how the charcoal background makes the quaint little buildings really pop—each tile feels like its own tiny painting. The hand-painted detail is even more beautiful in person than I imagined from the photos.
