Engels Delft Zwaluw

I hung this tile in my kitchen and the charcoal background really makes the swallow pop. The hand-painted details are so delicate and precise, it looks like a piece of art.

The hand-painted swallow on my Delft Blue tile has so much depth up close—you can see the artist’s brushstrokes in the wings, and it’s not flat like printed tiles. It’s already become the talking point of my kitchen backsplash, and the subtle glaze shifts in the light nicely.

The charcoal color is even more striking in person, and the bird's wing feathers have such fine brushstrokes. I installed a few as accents around my fireplace and they instantly gave the room a cozy, old-world feel. Definitely a unique touch you won't get from mass-produced tiles.
