English Delft Oast House

I mounted three of these Oast House tiles in a row above my kitchen door, and the charcoal glaze picks up light differently at each hour of the day. The buildings feel almost three-dimensional against the matte background.

The hand-painted detail on each tile is even more intricate than I expected—the little birds look almost alive. I’m using them as a backsplash, and the charcoal color adds such a cozy, old-world feel to my kitchen. They were worth the wait to get the custom look.

The little birds and buildings on this tile bring a real sense of old-world charm to my kitchen backsplash. The charcoal finish is even more subtle and elegant than I expected, with a soft, matte feel. It’s made a plain wall feel like a tiny art gallery.
