I was hesitant about hand-painted tile, but the blue tones are so rich and the bird detail is surprisingly crisp for something done by hand. It's become the focal point of my kitchen backsplash, and guests always ask where I found it.

The little windmill scene on my tile has so much depth up close, you can see every brushstroke of the artist’s hand. It’s already up on my kitchen wall and I keep catching myself just staring at the blue glaze catching the light.

The hand-painted details are what sold me—each little bird and building has its own charm, so it feels less like a factory tile and more like a piece of art. I hung one as a trivet and it’s already a conversation starter at dinner.
